Khao Yai is a beautiful area of Thailand to visit and is only a few hours drive north of Bangkok and is a popular destination with both local and international tourists. If you are planning a visit to this part of the country and you are wondering what there is to do there, below are some of the top attractions in Khao Yai that will help to ensure you have a magical time when you visit.
Haew Narok Waterfall
When you are looking to book your Khao Yai hotel, you will want to ensure that you stay close to all the attractions, such as Haew Narok Waterfall. This beautiful waterfall can only be seen by climbing down just over 100 steps, and there is a 1-2 km walk there from the car park. Make sure that you wear a comfortable pair of walking shoes when you visit, and you will have a fantastic time when visiting.
Khao Luk Chang Bat Cave
Another popular attraction with visitors is the Khao Luk Chang bat cave, where you can thousands of bats come out to feed in the early evening. You will need a vehicle to reach this destination or get a taxi to take you and wait for the bats. There are two bat caves not far from each other, so you will want to make sure that you go to the correct one.
Night Safari Korat
Other destinations in Thailand have Night Safaris, and the one in Korat is like these but much less regimented. It can be hit and miss on what animals you see, unlike other parks, but you can still enjoy them in their natural habitats as your guide takes your around the park at night. Keep an eye out for wild elephants, gibbons, deer, and a variety of other animals, and you may wish to bring a camera that is good at taking pictures in low light.
Primo Piazza Khao Yai
Primo Piazza is a homage to all things Italian and walking around the complex will have you feeling like you are in Italy. As well as exploring the Mediterranean style buildings scattered throughout the complex, you can also enjoy feeding the Merino sheep, donkeys, and alpacas, which are a firm favourite with both adults and children alike.
